Reddit r/fountainpens Secret Santa

So recently I joined a subreddit for fountain pens, which is this one here.

Every year, they host a Secret Santa gift exchange where users can gift and receive fountain pens and fountain pen accessories. So, I signed up and BOY, I am not disappointed!

I got SO MANY INKS! That made me really happy, because my ink stash is rather lacking, and most of what I have are normal boring colors like black. But not anymore, my two Santas got me a lot of colourful inks! Not only that, but some gorgeous pens, notebooks and even a pen case... I am spoiled. ;u;

Of course in return I also had to gift something, and well, at least one of my giftees seems happy... the other hasn't received their gift yet lol (as of 14/12/2023).

I am so glad I saw the sign up date (for the Secret Santa) when I did, because at that point, there were only a couple of days left... Next year, I am definitely participating again!

Pilot Starry Sky!

So... I caved. I bought my holy grail pen: the Pilot Starry Sky!

This pen is so gorgeous, I have no words. I have always been a fan of the Sailor's body design, and to now pair it with my favorite design motif: stars! As of now (December 2023), this is the most expensive pen in my collection... I haven't even used it yet, because I don't want my hand sweat on it...

The pen came with a special edition ink and notebook, though I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of the notebook... and I am too lazy to do it now.

Most recent acquisitions: Jinhao 82!

I have been seeing these pens everywhere in stationery instagram, so I finally got two! I love the Jinhao 82 because... they look almost exactly like Sailors (the pens) but at like, a tenth of the price lol.

I also got some ink to go with them, though I have yet to try it:

The little bottle is so cute... Even without trying the actual ink (so far), I think I'll deffinitely buy Ferris Wheel Press inks again! This one in the picture is "Poison Envy" colour by the way.

So... I am a fountain pen fan. Of course. I think liking fountain pens is the next stage of evolution for stationery girlies... It's almost an inevitable path if you grow up accumulating notebooks and cute pens lol.

Anyway, some time ago I took the time to snap some pictures of my current (as of November 2023) collection... well, to be honest, the two first pictures were taken by my mother, because I am an immigrant and had to leave some of my collection back at my folks' when I moved out... And there's actually one special Pikachu Lamy Safari missing from the pictures, likely because my Mom couldn't find it. Oh well! One day I will have a fixed residence and you can bet I'll have a pen display on my desk.
