Name: Hong BoJiu (红波酒)
Age: 44
Birthday: September 10th
Class: Monk
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual (currently married to a woman)
Height: 188cm
Fitness: VERY skinny and very flexible. Despite his appearance, he's very strong and fast.
Hong is good-spirited and optimistic, being in a good mood most of the time, despite having had his life fall apart. He will, however, get serious and melancholic if his wife is mentioned, the memory of her leaving him still painful.
He feels protective towards youngsters, since he recognizes his sheltered childhood is what lead him to an adulthood of vices. He may not be able to beat his addictions, but he will try to protect others from similar fates. He's somewhat old fashioned, believing men should always show deference towards ladies, and he is always polite, even towards adversaries. He likes doing yoga and meditation, as ways to ward off his cravings.
Hong is incredibly skinny, somehow never putting on weight no matter how much he drinks. Despite this, he's very strong and very fast... at least if he's not inebriated. He's also very tall and completely bald. Despite his age, he's not able to grow a beard, but bizarrely, his eyebrows are very bushy. His nose and ears also grow a lot of hair, but he tries to keep those trimmed.
Hong wears a single white cloth wrapped around his waist, to cover his parts. He has bandages wrapped around his arms and legs to protect his muscles. He has no need for shoes or any other kind of fancy clothing.
Hong was abandoned as a baby at a temple's steps. The monks took him in and raised him the same as their pupils. As such, Hong grew up with rigid schedules and routines, and without any indulgences. He was forbidden most things: fancy clothing, alchohol, sex, sugar. Discipline was of utmost importance in his life.
Despite all this, he was a happy kid, and was friends with everyone at the temple. However, at the age of 16, all novices are given the choice to stay at the temple and further their education, or leave and experience the world.
Hong left and never looked back. Now free of any rules and limitations, he tried everything he couldn't before, spending night after night drinking in bars, eating good food and having flings with both men and women.
During this time, he got further and further into the underworld of gambling, loving the exhiliration of playing games with the odds stacked against him.
As his gambling addiction grew, so did his drinking addiction.
Somehow through all this, he met Bai Jiu, a waitress in one of his favourite bars, and after some months of courtship, the two got married.
However, Hong's addictions got worse and worse, and he got indebted to some dangerous people while gambling. Bai Jiu begged him to get clean, but Hong replied "I can quit anytime".
As his debt got bigger, the gangs who he owed to started harassing him and Bai Jiu, in an effort to make him pay his dues. This was the last straw for Bai, who picked up her things and left.
Now alone, and middle aged, Hong decided he needed to get his life and his wife back. Still being chased by gangsters, he left his home and hit the road, to try and make money anyway he could.
However, the bottle is always calling him, and Hong does not always resist it...
Despite what he says, he is NOT a master of the Drunken Fist, and being intoxicated makes him worse at fighting, not better.
