Name: Groch
Age: 32
Birthday: November 27th
Occupation: Formerly a Cook, then a Blood Donor, now a runaway
Race: Fire Ogre
Height: 199cm
Fitness: Fat and strong. Not very fast or agile.
Prior to his capture, Groch was a fairly outgoing person, but the torture he endured at the exsanguination facility turned him into a taciturn and distrustful man. A spark of his former self remains though, and sometimes comes out. He feels indebted to Athanasius for rescuing him, and has vowed to try and restore him to his former self.
He loves cooking above all else, and hates people who use blood (or worse, soul) crystals.
Groch is physically strong and pretty fat, though this type of physique is the most common and considered average among ogres. He has red skin and two horns, and yellow eyes. He wears a nose ring (piercings being very common in his culture). He has very high body temperature and very warm hands, which come in handy when kneading dough, something he used to often do.
Groch was a cook back in his hometown, a village built near an active volcano. As a fire ogre, Groch and his brethren are not injured by fire (unless it's literally as hot as the sun). He had a simple life, but was happy.
One night, his village was raided by Blood Dealers, people who kidnap and enslave others in order to exsanguinate them and create blood crystals. As naturally magical creatures who cannot manifest their magic actively, ogres are often targets for these slavers.
The invaders attacked during the night, but the village was able to put up a fight. Unfortunately, the dealers were armed with water crystals and won the skirmish, killing those who put up too much of a fight, and imprisoning those who surrendered. Groch was among those who stopped resisting, because he staunchly believed that if he stayed alive, there would always be a chance for payback.
The captured ogres were sent to different exsanguination facilities. From then on, everyday Groch's arms and legs were non-fatally slashed, and his blood used to make fire crystals.
This continued for so long, Groch was quickly losing touch with reality, until one day, a new janitor was assigned to clean his cell. This cleaner would come in and stare at Groch, wash the blood off the floor and leave. Then one day, Groch woke up to a commotion, and the janitor cutting his restraints. They fled, but got caught, and in this fight, somehow, the janitor's life was almost taken... but only almost.
Groch carried him out and they escaped, and it was here that he saw the janitor had become an undead. Feeling like he owed his life to this man, they teamed up.
